axs - Vertical Innocence - Touch the Stars

Made for the release of their new single TODAY which is called 'Vertical Innocence'

I COULDN'T RECORD IT T.T Bandicam did not register the window -.- But the PV was really nice (full CG animation with oh so much movement) starting out with some cyberesque elevator and ending IN SPAAAAAAAACE (now if that is not a great coincidence I don't know either). It was not purple and blue, though, but mainly white, gray, black and turquoise/light blue. Quite pretty, I hope to see it on nnd or yt soon.

Anyway, with that out of the way, let me tell you a bit about this picture:

When I first read the title of the track (some time ago, I saw it on the freshly recorded and mastered cds Daisuke Asakura made a photo of to upload) I really wanted to draw something to it.... this was the.. third version and at least it's closer to my initial idea. I started coloring it and.... frankly I hated the colors... it was supposed to look like some.. normal coloring, with normal skin colors etc, but it looked so shitty (and I had done most of the shading and highlighting already, too) that I was really discouraged. So I took all the colors out and... suddenly it did not look so bad anymore. I let it lay low for quite some weeks then, did not know what to do and the release of the single was sooo far away.. and then suddenly it was yesterday and I was like 'Fuck, you wanted to release that picture before the actual cd release...) well, didn't work out that well BUT it was released before the MV release *proud*.
The space theme was a very very spontaneous idea I had yesterday, after having drawn the last picture of Genesis and having felt so relaxed while drawing space.
AND DAMN NOW I HAVE THE PORTAL 2 SPACE SPHERE IN MY HEAD AGAIN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.

This picture was not drawn to the song, but just to the TITLE of the song, though, before I finished it up, I heard a... radio...? version of it.
